Song Review: “Mexico” by SoftServe

A small band named SoftServe based in Nashville, TN released their newest single “Mexico”. It came out on Friday June 2nd. It is the third song in their discography, and has a very pop-indie vibe.

It’s full of groovy guitar riffs that are reminiscent of an 80’s love song. The secondary guitar parts also give it an edm vibe, with the synthesizing type of noise. On top of that, it is effortlessly combined with a smooth vocal that provides almost a sense of calm. With everything (the riffs, the slight percussion and the vocals), it gives a feeling of cruising around in your car on a sunny day.

When I hear it, I just get an immediate feeling to dance or sing along. It’s a song that can put you in a good mood no matter what! It’s a venture into combining 80’s love songs with modern indie music! Overall, SoftServe creates music that fits the description well and have done an excellent job at defining their sound! It’s quite unique, keeping that indie vibe, while also differentiating themselves from most other duos!

Mexico is a very lighthearted, fun song and I would definitely recommend giving it a listen! Along with their other songs, “Wait For You” and Into It”!!
